Reporting child  sexual abuse
In the US most states require allegations of abuse against a minor to be reported immediately to state authorities. We strongly encourage you to make an immediate report first to civil authorities (police)  Each state has a different mandatory reporting process.

(1) Reporting Adult Sexual abuse, criminal
We strongly encourage you to make an immediate report first to civil authorities (police).

(2) Reporting Adult Sexual misconduct in COGIC, non criminal
sexual misconduct committed by  ordained or licensed clergy employees (male or female) should be reported to the pastor, jurisdiction, and national church depending on the individual's position.

Each jurisdiction (partial listing on right) in the COGIC has a State Secretary. Report your information to this office and GET NAMES.  The goal is to get your report documented and verified that it was received by an authorized church official. Request proof of documentation be provided to you in a timely manner both electronically and physical.

Where to report clergy sexual misconduct:
1. The church/jurisdiction where the misconduct occurred.
2. The church/jurisdiction where the pastor is currently serving
